Sleepy Insomniac
Lately I’ve been sleeping past ungodly hours of the night even though my body is begging for me to let it hit the sheets. My mind on the other hand has trained itself to overpower my tired little me into staying up so that it can mull around on Facebook, looking over the same old pictures of fellow friends, and watch random, amusing clips on Youtube for a quick laugh. Why I’m doing this to myself I still have no idea.
Maybe it’s because there aren’t as many distractions, and I get to finally ponder over my thoughts in the night’s silence, or maybe it’s because I feel like sleeping is a waste of time (did you know that humans spend 1/3 of their life in their beds?) Maybe it’s because I want to know if there are others out there who refuse to succumb to their body’s natural reaction to the night, there probably are many of you who do. So this new blog of mine will be for my own enjoyment and for those who, like me, are sleepy insomniacs.
